I’m a Ph.D. student in the History of Art, focusing on late antique and early medieval palatial architecture in Europe, Byzantium, and the Islamic world. Other interests include economic and artistic exchange in the Indian Ocean, medieval and modern conceptions of the past, reuse and spoliation.
